Shashwat Dham is a spiritual and cultural sanctuary located in Nawalpur. Developed in recent years by the CG Group, it was created as a space for learning, devotion, and quiet reflection. While contemporary in construction, the site draws deeply from ancient Hindu design principles and spiritual traditions.
At its center is the Ekamukhi Shiva Linga Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. The temple follows Vedic rituals and Agamic practices, and is surrounded by sacred art, water features, and thoughtfully designed gardens rooted in symbolic meaning.
Each evening, visitors are invited to observe the Aarti, a traditional ritual of light and prayer offered to the deity. The ceremony includes the lighting of oil lamps, chanting of mantras, and the rhythmic ringing of bells—marking the transition from day to night with reverence and beauty. Alongside Lord Shiva, the sanctuary also honors deities such as Goddess Parvati, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Ganesha, each housed in smaller shrines around the temple grounds. The site also features a Vedic library, spaces for quiet meditation, and open areas designed for personal reflection. The Aarti is a meaningful experience, open to all, offering a glimpse into Nepal’s spiritual traditions in a calm and welcoming setting.
